Directions: Directions to Fontana Superior Court from the I-10 Freeway. Exit Cedar Ave. and travel north for approximately one block (towards the mountains). From Cedar Ave. turn left onto Valley Blvd. and travel west for approximately one mile to Alder Ave. Turn right onto Alder and travel north for approximately one mile to Arrowhead Ave. (towards the mountains). The courthouse is located on the northeast corner of Alder Ave. and Arrowhead Ave.

Parking: Parking is free at Fontana Superior Court. Generally, parking is ample and thankfully it is not usually too difficult to find convenient parking. The main parking lot is directly in front on the court itself; however, there is extra parking spaces near the district attorney’s office located directly to the west of the court house.

Note: The Fontana Superior Court does not hear all legal matters. The court hears only the following types of cases: Small Claims, Code Enforcement, Limited Landlord / Tenant, and Traffic infractions (i.e. driving without a license, driving without insurance, etc.). Keep in mind that some traffic infractions are not heard in Fontana Superior Court despite the fact that the appearance is for a traffic infraction. This occurs most commonly in underage DUI traffic infractions and cases where a misdemeanor or felony is charged along with the traffic infraction. In those cases, the traffic infraction is usually heard in the Superior Court of San Bernardino, Rancho Cucamonga, Joshua Tree, or Victorville (depending on the jurisdiction of the underlying misdemeanor or felony).
Dress Code: According the Fontana Superior Court website, the dress code for court is business attire (including for attorneys during Covid pandemic). No tank tops, shorts, or bare feet allowed. If the deputy of the court, or the judge, determines that a person is inappropriately dressed for court, then that person may be asked to leave court and return another day.
